Post-op thankfulness

Surgery went so well last Friday that it almost was enjoyable.Well maybe not, but it was amazing how low stress it was!!

I am very thankful for the prayers of friends and the grace of God that has been beyond evident. My better half, Chuck, is taking good care of me now and my church friends have furnished many meals. As I've stated before, bei
ng on the receiving end is not a comfortable place to be for me or for most women. We are the caretakers by nature. I certainly never wanted to have to depend on anybody but my circumstances have taught me how to gracefully accept the help and friendship of others. The dogs are "concerned" for me as you can see. The kids think I'll be fine. lol. I'll go back for a cast change on the 16th but will be casted for 6 weeks. Yikes! I'm supposed to keep the foot elevated for two. ;)

So today I'd just like to say how thankful I am for family and friends! Thank you especially to Chuck who is slaving away in the flower beds and keeping the house in order as well. You are a gift to me! It never ceases to amaze me how God has blessed us with peace through our many crazy life curve balls but I can tell you HE is faithful!

1 Corinthians 1:9-
God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Marci, I know you are glad to be home around your comforts. I pray the Lord continues to heal you.

"I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; for You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety."
~ Psalm 4:8

God bless.

Yep...the saying "dogs are 'mans' best friends"...is true for the simple reason they sense when we are not "ourselves". Dogs are special that way! ;) Kids...? But thank you Chuck!!!! God Bless! Kathryn Estrada
